Kristen’s Graphic Design Work

  • A purple vertical line. To the right and touching is a teal half circle, which looks like a C. Together, these look like a K. To the right of the C is the rest of the circle (or O), but in a dotted orange line. All together, it could be a 10.
  • Palestine across the top in olive green script. Flanked on either side with an olive & sprig of leaves. #StrikeForGaza. No business as usual until the genocide is ended! It's not about doing everything, it's about doing what you can! There's a red silhouette of Palestine on the right, then a checklist of items. Check. Don't go to work or school, or do organize a walkout. Check. Don't spend. *Especially* not at BDS targets. (See BDS Movement dot net.) Check. Be loud. Wear kuffiyehs & pro-Palestine clothing & talk about Palestine, the genocide, & the strike! Check. Focus your social media on Palestine. Use #StrikeforGaza, #FreePalestine, & #CeasefireNow. Check. Make & share art, videos, songs, stories about Palestine. Check. Work together! We are stronger & more effective when we support each other. Red X. Give up. Red X. Stay silent. In the bottom right is a box outlined in a thin-thick-thin patterned black stripe. Inside it says from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
  • My map of the whole state of Palestine. The regions are outlined in red. (North to south, west to east: Akka, Safad, Tabariya, Haifa, an Nasira, Bisan, Jenin, Tulkarm, Nabulus, Jaffa, al Ramleh, Ramallah, al Quds, Gaza, al Khalil, and Bi'r as Sab'.) Capitals of each region, plus Khan Yunis and Rafah in Gaza and the region capitals of West Bank, are marked with black stars. The Gaza Strip and West Bank areas are highlighted in green. Surrounding countries Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt are in gray. I've also indicated Syria's Golan Heights. The Mediterranean and Dead Seas are blue. (The red sea is also blue, but there's only a very little bit of it at the south tip of Palestine, so it's not labeled.) The scale showing miles and meters and my logo with "Map by Kristen Otenti" are in the bottom left corner. The legend is in the bottom right.

  • An extreme closeup of a light blue, faceted glass bead within a gold-looking textured metal casing. The metal is formed into little flower shapes. The background is black.
  • A saturated photograph of a stretch of the Grand Canyon, as seen from the south rim.
  • Black and white photo of a stop sign with trees and bushes in the background.
  • Close-up of an old, open cab fire engine. The engine body and wheel is red. The rest of teh photo is in black and white.
  • A rusted metal structure submerged in a lake. The metal is orange. The image has been altered so the water looks blue near the structure, but fades out like it's aged toward the edges of the frame.
  • A sunset in a cloudy sky over a golden field. A gazebo is off to the left. The glare from the sun has created vertical streaks.
  • Aideen’s Painting by Gideon. (Created for my upcoming novel.) Three porcelain-looking figures, all cracked, are crouched or bent in a row. A fourth is standing, wrists crossed in front of their chest. The background is layers of pain strokes in greens and blues. The whole image is distressed and darkened.
  • The white knight from Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, sliding down the handle to the fireplace poker. His horsehead and clothes are white, his armor is gray. The poker handle is brown. There's a swath of purple behind him and the background turquiose.
  • A toucan sitting on a perch, made from the letters P, O, D, E, and R. Its eye is blue and its beak is yellow with a black tip. Otherwise, it's all black on a dusty coral background.
  • Please scream inside your heart in cyan and black lettering over an anatomical heart with a human mouth, open in a scream. All on a dark red background.
  • Vector art of the Palestine flag flying over a field of lavender next to Al Aqsa mosque. Over the mosque it says Palestine in fishnet-patterned letters flanked by olives and leaves. Across the bottom is the thin-thick-thin pattern line that signifies trade roads. All of this is on a light purple background.
